How it works:

• Final day: live Zoom call to debate

• Winner chosen based on clarity, originality, and structure

• Zoom call link will be emailed the day after the deadline.

• Please register your interest in the form at the bottom of the page alongside the payment link inside the form.

Debates are limited entry and curated carefully, so when you’re in, take it seriously.

Entry

• • Debate entry is £0.79, non-refundable once your position has been assigned (usually within the next 24 hours).

  • Entries are first come, first served. Once slots are full, entry will close.

  • All arguments must be submitted by the stated deadline below. Late submissions may be disqualified.

Format

• • Participants will be randomly assigned a side (for or against).

  • All participants must attend the scheduled Zoom debate. Failure to attend may forfeit your eligibility for that round’s reward.

  • All debate arguments must be original and written by you. Plagiarism results in disqualification.

Conduct

• • Respectful, constructive discussion is expected at all times.

  • Disruptive behaviour during live debates (e.g. interrupting, personal attacks) will result in removal from the session and permanent ban from future entries.

Prizes

• • Winning a debate is based on clarity, originality, structure, and how well you engage with your stance.

  • A participant who wins three debate rounds will be eligible for a free book of their choice, within reason and availability.

  • Winners will be contacted via email. If unreachable within 7 days, the prize may be offered to a runner-up.
